Located near Prieska in the Northern Cape, MRE Prieska Solar PV Plant was commissioned in October 2014 as part of Round 1 of South Africa’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP). The 20 MW facility supplies clean power to the national grid under a long-term PPA with Eskom.
