Located near De Aar in the Northern Cape, MRE De Aar Solar PV Plant was commissioned in July 2014 under the first round of South Africa’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP). The facility has an installed capacity of 10 MW, supported by over 43,000 solar panels.
