Located near De Aar in the Northern Cape, Kalkbult Solar PV Plant was one of South Africa’s first utility-scale renewable energy projects. Commissioned in September 2013, the 75 MW facility consists of over 300,000 panels and has been delivering clean electricity to the grid under a long-term PPA with Eskom.
